4701-50-15188-04 is a microcellular polyurethane foam from PORON (Rogers Corporation), supplied in 4.78 mm thickness in black and a hardness of 50 Shore A. The foam is compressible and conforms to uneven surfaces, so it absorbs impact energy and takes up tolerance between mating parts — the reason it is specified for sealing, gasketing, cushioning and vibration isolation rather than for carrying load. Typical applications include display and housing gaskets in consumer electronics, control-cabinet and electrical-equipment isolation pads, sensor and battery cushioning, and automotive or aviation interior trim. 4701-50-15188-04 is stocked as sheets and rolls, and we die-cut, laminate and kiss-cut it to your drawing; thickness, hardness and sheet size can be customized on request. Send the drawing with the tolerance you need and we quote to that specification. Not intended as a structural load-bearing component.
